Welcome to Do-Nation UK Project

We encourage a "NATION" of people to "DO" something positive to help themselves and their local community.

Working together to make a difference in the lives of others

The Do-Nation UK Project is a registered Community Interest Company, based in Birmingham- West Midlands. The name Do-Nation is a play on the word ‘Donation’, with emphasis on the words “Do” and “Nation”. The Project promotes individual, as well as collective well-being, growth and development. It fosters the idea of a nation of people doing something positive to make a difference in their own lives and in the lives of others, caring for themselves and their natural environment.

On 4th November 2017, the Do-Nation UK Project launched its #Fashion4ACause Campaign using fashion as a creative medium and a vehicle for affecting social change. #Fashion4ACause provides a local platform within the Midlands for social activism and community engagement. We aim to work with local charities and other organisations to support individuals from poorer backgrounds and tackle some of the issues affecting our local community. Our Campaign will capitalise on the shift in global consciousness within the creative industry to empower others. It will particularly benefit young people, ethnic minority groups, low income/single parent households or any individual from an impoverished background, wishing to improve their social outlook or aspirations.

The main objective for our #Fashion4ACause Campaign is to deliver a number of local initiatives, programmes and events that will inspire and empower individuals from disadvantaged backgrounds to improve their personal circumstances. We want to work with those who are less fortunate in our community to build confidence, improve self-esteem and acquire new skills for personal growth and development. In addition to delivering the core aims of our #Fashion4ACause Campaign, we will host an annual fashion showcase and fundraising event in support of local causes, proceeds from these events will be donated to a chosen registered charity. Look out for future programmes, initiatives and events that will run as part of our #Fashion4ACause Campaign.

Our 2017 Campaign was held in support of the African Caribbean Leukaemia Trust and the Rik Basra Leukaemia Campaign. If you would like to make a donation to either of these charities then please click on the button below.
